Several years ago Parker Construction carried out a major renovation on this home. At that time, the garage, small laundry and former guest suite turned office were not renovated. The homeowners are collectors and needed more storage and display space for their growing collections. They also decided to increase the size of the laundry room and add a small work room to further suit their needs.
The idea was to create one large home office from the previous guest suite. To accomplish this, we removed the existing roof and enlarged the footprint of the house, which created a new loft that looks down on the new home office area below.
A new staircase with a wrought iron rail was installed to connect the first floor to the loft space. Custom display cabinets were installed throughout the office and loft to display their collections. A large storage room adjacent to this loft was also be created.
The first floor the laundry room was increased in size and a new side entry was installed.
