This shingle-style Jamestown residence underwent a makeover at the hands of Parker Construction; the home received an update and the addition of a pool and cabana on a six month schedule that had it ready in time for summer.

The house was refinished with special attention paid to the millwork and stone; in the kitchen new custom cabinets were paired with white marble countertops, mosaic tile backsplash, and all new appliances. The light colors and picture windows open up the space, giving it an airy quality.

Additionally, built-in millwork was installed throughout the first level, new windows were put in, the bathrooms were redone, receiving marble and granite floors, the brick fireplaces received new slab surrounds and hearths, the hardwood floors were refinished, and in the basement a gym space was created with a separate studio complete with floor to ceiling mirrors along two walls. Upstairs, the master suite was redone, with high arched ceilings in the bedroom, custom shelving and drawers in the closet, and a new tub, vanity, and floor in the bathroom.

The new cabana offers a secondary space to enjoy the summer months; modeled after the style of the main house, it features an outdoor shower and kitchenette. The pool is surrounded by bluestone decking and includes a hot tub. The grounds of the property were fully landscaped, creating an idyllic property on which to enjoy the Rhode Island coast.
