Renovation for this historic home located in Providence's College Hill neighborhood occurred in two phases. The first involved opening up the first floor; to accommodate this, the central chimney was removed on all three floors and most interior partitions on the first floor were similarly removed. The structural engineer advised the installation of large steel beams and posts to support the new configuration.

The resulting floor plan gave the homeowners unobstructed city views throughout the first floor, a new lavette, and a new modern custom kitchen designed and built by Parker Construction.

The second phase involved renovations to the second floor including the creation of a new master bedroom, master closet and master bathroom, along with a new guest bathroom.
